Sponsored by St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church, the 58th annual Tour of Homes will showcase four homes on Friday, July 22. Transportation will be provided from the church beginning at 9 am until 3 pm with the houses open until 4 pm. Parking is available near the church in the deck at Wallingford Street and Laurel Lane, next to the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum.
St. Mary of the Hills has a rich history of philanthropy. The Annual Tour of Homes is the primary fundraising project of the church. The majority of the proceeds from the tour are donated to charitable organizations in Blowing Rock and Boone.
The 2016 Tour of Homes will be on Friday, July 22. The tour will include five beautiful Laurel Park homes. Transportation will be provided. The houses are within a short distance of one another and are close to the church. Walking to the homes is an option for guests. The tour begins at 9:00, the last tickets will be sold at 3:00, and the houses close at 5:00.
Tickets may be purchased online, at the Chamber of Commerce, or in the church office. The ticket price is $30. A delicious lunch will be available in the parish hall. A limited number of lunches are available, so be sure to purchase your ticket early. On the church lawn will be tents that house the Bake Sale, Timeless Treasures, the Wall of Wine, and other surprises you won’t want to miss.
The Tour of Homes Patron Party will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 6:30 at the Blue Ridge Mountain Club. Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner and dancing to the music of the Steve Franks and Swing Set Band. There will be a silent auction which will include an array of sought-after items. Shuttle buses will be available for guests from the church parking lot and BRAHM. The ticket price of $150 includes a ticket to the tour of homes. $125 of the purchase is a tax deductible contribution.
